About Us

If this were a post-apocalypse scenario, The Ranting Dragon would probably be one of the more menacing street gangs roaming the wastelands and enslaving lesser blogs for sport.

Welcome to The Ranting Dragon, a website focused on providing fantasy fans with interesting news and reviews on all the genre has to offer. Our mission at The Ranting Dragon is to help you choose the next fantasy book you pick up by offering reviews of recent and past releases and by featuring books in our news articles that you never would have known existed. While we mainly focus on publishing articles about fantasy books, we do, on occasion, cover other mediums from graphic novels to fantasy-themed movies.

The Ranting Dragon was founded in October 2010 by Stephan, a crazy Dutch man with a healthy appetite for all things fantasy. Stephan’s dream was to have a one-stop-shop for the latest news about fantasy releases and reviews of old and new fantasy books. With its team of Writers and Editors, The Ranting Dragon now publishes at least one review or article per day and continues to expand. The Ranting Dragon is officially an international site, with Stephan managing the workings of the site from his home in The Netherlands and many of our Writers submitting articles from the United States and Canada.

  1. To whom it may concern – let me start by saying that your lists of novels is absolutely fantastic and has turned me towards a handful of authors that I would never have read. But the big problem is the layout, background, fonts and colours that you have used on your website. It makes it very challenging and hard on the eyes – in truth I cant look at your website for long (and no I am not old or have eye problems – lol). If you relaunched into a more friendly format, this site would have an enormous following. Anyway keep up the great work.
