Giveaway of The Thirteen Hallows by Michael Scott & Colette Freedman

The 6th of December marked the release of The Thirteen Hallows, the first book in an exciting new adult urban fantasy series by NewYork Times bestselling author Michael Scott and award winning playwright Colette Freedman.

This series revolves around the myth of the thirteen hallows of Britain, ancient artifacts imbued with a primal and deadly power.

In case that isn’t intriguing enough, here is a synopsis of the novel:

They are thirteen ancient treasures: mysterious, magical, infinitely powerful, with the potential for great good…or absolute evil. For decades, the Keepers guarded these Hallows, keeping them safe and hidden and apart from each other. But now the Keepers are being brutally murdered in present day London, their prizes stolen, the ancient objects bathed in their blood. Now, only a few remain….

Sarah Miller, a discouraged 22-year-old woman at a dead end job, lives with and supports her ungrateful mom and brothers. When heading out to lunch one day she comes across an elderly woman being attacked by two men. Without hesitation, Sarah quickly defends and fights away the assailants. Unbeknownst to her, the woman Sarah has saved is one of the last of the Hallowed Keepers.

Soon Sarah is entangled and becomes a target in the sinister plot of someone sadistically murdering the Keepers to collect their Hallows. With the help of Owen, the woman’s nephew that was saved, the duo must solve the mystery of the Hallows once and for all. For if they don’t succeed the world is doomed to a dark horizon for all eternity.

When she isn’t reading or stalking wildlife she can be found lurking among the shelves at her workplace, telling bad jokes, unintentionally traumatising delivery men, small children and the elderly or drinking ridiculous amounts of coffee with various enablers. Some (aka. Stephan) speculate that Michelle never sleeps and possesses slight, and mostly useless magic powers that allow her to guess almost anything correctly. These rumors are yet to be scientifically confirmed. She also keeps a personal blog of book reviews (various genres), and other assorted ramblings (some of which are actually coherent).
