Which Fantasy character would you date?

The topic title says it all! What character from fantasy would you date? And why?

I'll start: I would date Wheel of Time's Aviendha. She's amazing, fierce but cute. And I picture her as a freaking hot red-head. (L)

I'd date Kaladin from The Way of Kings. I think I'd also have to make a pass at Kvothe.

From WoT - Mat (although really, he'd only be a one-time thing) and Rand (I wouldn't mind joining his harem.

Paksenarrion (DUH -- but only in the first book) ... Perrin from WoT (keep in mind I'm only on book #7, so I don't know if he goes bonkers or not) ... Silk from Belgariad (I had an *actual* book crush on him in grade seven, and was really angry when he met that minx) ...

I hate all the women in WoT equally, so no luck there.

Who else? I obviously adore Kvothe but he's out of my league. Does it count that I had a huge crush on Legolas when the first movie came out? I can't think of any others right now. I'd have more girl crushes but so often female fantasy characters annoy me. I have a lot more non-fantasy female fictional characters I'd like to date.

Aragorn. Arithon from The Wars of Light and Shadow, even though he'd be shorter than me by a LOT. Sparhawk from Eddings' Elenium & Tamuli.

That's it. Unless you count Pride & Prejudice and Zombies, in which case Mr Darcy is a shoe-in.

And just for the record *cough*James*cough* Ron is SO not datable.

If I absolutely had to date someone from HP, I'd probably go for Hermione. She seems to be the only sensible one.

I can certainly think of a few characters who seem pretty enticing, but I think it would be Min from The Wheel of Time for me. Simple reason, she can't manhandle me with magic or (easily) kick my butt in some other way! Plus (or possibly because of that) she's pretty grounded for a fantasy lady. I'm not sure how I would handle the whole deal where your woman is infinitely more powerful than you are. I don't have Lan-esque self-assurance.

"Hey dude, your wife just helped cleanse the True Source from the taint of the Dark One. What did you do?"

I don't worry about dating powerful Aviendha, though. I'm confident that, once I step into her world, I will discover I'm the mightiest channeler of them all.

Min Farshaw from WOT, hands down. She's not a princess, is independent and has a great sense of humor. She is short and slender, has dark hair and large, dark eyes, and looks great in tight pants. She's always reading and is interested in science, so she's sort of a geeky girl-who can handle a knife. Her viewings could come in handy, like if I'm about to get hit by a car or playing the Megamillion jackpot numbers. The only con is her fierce loyalty; if it came down to it, Rand would kick my ass.

Maybe Esther Diamond from Laura Resnick's Disappearing Nightly, Doppelgangster, and Unsympathetic Magic, but now I'm just being shallow. I've never read the books, just love the cover art.

Good point Stephan. She would say, "I see a great wheeled beast spewing smoke from its arse swirling above your head. I'm sure it will cause you great pain." I'd be afraid to ever cross the street again, so I would just tell her to keep her viewings to herself, and then she would kick me in the shin and call me a wool-headed sheepherder! I can just forget the whole Megamillions thing all together. Still Min is pretty cool.

I used to have this huge crush on Lestat from Anne Rice books. This is way before twilight was even a glimmer of a thought. Back When I was 12 or so. I used to have the totally elaborate dreams of were he would come and take me away and then keep me somewhere till I was old enough and then turn me. Yeah I know I was weird. No one ever really knew about it though. I was not a "fangirl" I dont even know if fangirls existed then the way they are now.

Then in my early 20's it was Roland from The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

I can't believe I forgot Lestat! I was so very fond of him for some years... Although I developed soft spot for Mael later on.

To add to my list, Richard St Vier from Ellen Kushner's books. Can't go wrong with a master swordsman, can you? The only problem is that he's taken...
