eBook Bargains

Postby jdiddyesquire » Thu Jul 21, 2011 6:29 pm

Mods, feel free to move this, but I thought anyone who reads electronically would enjoy/find this helpful. I put together a list of all the discounted titles that the major SFF publishing houses are currently offering. Really surprising how many there are!

I got it. I love cheap books but many end up disappointing.

I don't really do e-books. I just love the feeling of an actual book in my hand, turning the pages, touching it, the weight when I'm carrying it around with me, the smell of books both new and old, the look of them on the shelves... yeah, I'm a total book freak. E-books will never be quite as good, in my mind.

I used to feel the same way. After almost a year reading on my ipod and now my kindle, I can not imagine going back to real books full time.

*nods* I read books both in their physical editions and as an ebook. Most of the time the books that I read are epic fantasies, and since I cannot stand mass-market paperbacks, I read it on my kindle because it's just easier to carry around than an actual book. Sometimes I like reading the actual book just for fun, though! My kindle is just... convenient.

Totally bought Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell, though! It's been sitting on my bookshelf forever and hasn't been touched, for the very reason that it's just gigantic. :P
